Children in tire advertising

19 may 2012
Two companies specializing in the production of automotive tires used children as advertising for their brand. Thus, the TVCF firm shot a commercial for Toyo's Toyo Tranpath mpF tires, which are designed for minivans and MPVs. The video features children dancing, symbolizing "fun and a healthy lifestyle," as noted by the company.

Recall that the line of tires to which this model belongs began to be produced in 1995. It was then that Toyo decided to develop tires specifically for minivan owners. This model is already the fifth generation of this line. It is distinguished by excellent handling and minimized rolling resistance due to the asymmetrical tread pattern of optimized stiffness. The developers of the firm assure that the Toyo Tranpath mpF contributes to a significant reduction in energy loss compared to the previous tire.

And here's another firm that used a child image in advertising its products, which will ultimately end up in court. In the Continental commercial, a man drives down a winter road past children. He is distracted and only comes to his senses when he sees a child in front of him. By pressing the brake pedal, he stops instantly. Thus, it is shown that the automotive tires presented in the advertisement contribute to effective braking and, as a result, safety in any situation. However, the Moscow department of the FAS initiated a case under paragraph 6 of Article 6 of the Federal Law "On Advertising" due to the fact that the video features a child in danger. According to the Law "On Advertising", it is forbidden to use the image of a child in danger.

The case of violation of legislation will be considered on June 18.
