Bridgestone has developed ultra-durable tires

In the American market, a new all-season touring tire, the Bridgestone Turanza EverDrive, has been introduced, with a warranty mileage of 80,000 miles (129,000 km), a record value for the Japanese brand's products.

The innovation is designed to "give a sense of calm and safety" thanks to increased braking efficiency on wet and dry asphalt, as well as on surfaces with a small amount of snow. Additionally, the tread design and internal structure of the tires have been improved to reduce vibrations and improve ride comfort throughout the lifespan, and the multi-step tread pattern reduces noise levels.

The Turanza EverDrive tread blocks feature deep 3D lamellae, creating densely spaced gripping edges and helping to quickly drain water and slush from the contact zone with the road. Internal tests have shown that the new Bridgestone's braking properties are 24% better compared to the Michelin Defender 2 and Continental ControlContact Tour A/S, and the braking efficiency on wet roads is 2% higher than that of the Defender 2.

According to Dale Harrigle, the main advantage of the new tires is that they retain their consumer characteristics for a long time. "We designed this tire for long-term operation, and with an 80,000-mile warranty, buyers can expect a quiet and comfortable ride mile after mile," he added.

The innovation is intended for use on passenger cars, crossovers, and minivans and is available in 36 sizes with diameters from 16 to 20 inches and speed indices T, H, and V. The target group includes owners of Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Honda Civic, Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Palisade, and others.

While the warranty mileage is a record for Bridgestone, Michelin had previously released the Defender tire with a warranty of 90,000 miles (145,000 km). For comparison, in a recent test by ADAC, the Double Coin tire was recognized as the most durable, with a predicted resource of 74.4 thousand km.
