BMW has homologated Giti tires for the first time

Tires from Giti were first homologated by the BMW Group, which approved them for factory equipment of Mini Cooper cars produced in Oxford and sold in the UK and Europe. Summer tires Giti GitiSynergy H2 in size 195/55 R16 will be supplied, with a star symbol on the sidewall confirming that the tires were developed in accordance with the specifications defined by the German concern.

GitiSynergy H2 tires are designed primarily for use on compact and family cars, as well as crossovers, and are available in sizes from 165/70 R14 to 255/55 R18. The development was carried out by specialists from the Giti European Technical Center in Hanover, Germany, who aimed to combine a high level of safety with improved energy efficiency. Testing was conducted at the MIRA complex in the UK, as well as on test sites in Germany and Spain.

"We worked closely with the BMW Group to confirm the quality of our tires and the high level of our production and logistics capabilities, so the first deliveries of Giti tires for Mini are a very important event for our entire team," said Nicolas Cluzon, Key Account Manager in the OE segment of the Giti European division. "Mini is a truly cult car, but what's more important, another homologation from a premium car manufacturer indicates that Giti is able to meet the most stringent requirements regarding tire performance and expected resource."
