BMW i7 equipped with Hankook tires
Three tyre models from Hankook's iON family—the first complete tyre line on the market developed specifically for electric vehicles—have been approved for the BMW i7, the fully electric version of the German brand's flagship sedan, the tyre manufacturer's press service reported.
The tyres for the i7 were developed based on previous collaboration experience with BMW. The approved models include the summer Hankook iON Supreme, all-season iON evo AS, and winter iON i*cept, with diameters of 22, 20, and 21 inches respectively. These tyres feature a star marking on their sidewalls to indicate BMW homologation. Hankook emphasized that "the company has once again demonstrated its technological competitiveness by supplying tyres for a flagship electric luxury-class sedan."

All tyres were developed using the patented iON Innovative Technology platform, designed to enhance key EV-specific performance characteristics such as energy efficiency and acoustic comfort.
Hankook has been collaborating with BMW for the past 16 years, starting with tyre supply for Mini-branded vehicles. Since then, Hankook tyres have been approved for BMW's first through fifth and seventh series, as well as X1, X3, and X5 SUVs, high-performance models M5, X3 M, and X4 M, and electric models i4 and iX. In Korea, Hankook has also supplied tyres for the BMW Driving Center for 12 years, since its opening in 2014.
