BFGoodrich has expanded its range of Extreme Performance tires
Although the BFGoodrich brand is known primarily for its off-road tires, it also releases other products under its name, including such niche products as semi-slicks, which fall into the Extreme Performance category and are designed to improve lap times on racing tracks while still being legal for public roads.
In 2013, BFGoodrich introduced the BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tire in the Extreme Performance segment, whose tread pattern with long curved grooves was later inherited by the updated g-Force Rival S model, and now the company has equipped its latest novelty in this class with it, which has been named g-Force Rival+.

The difference between Rival+ lies in the modified rubber compound, which has improved grip on wet surfaces and also increased the stability of the grip during prolonged use.

In turn, the g-Force Rival S, which will remain in production, is made from the "S-compound" developed primarily to maximize grip on dry surfaces, and has a UTQG wear index of 200. This model is designed, for example, for motorsport competitions such as time-attack (participants try to show the best time separately without direct competition on the track) and time-trial (races with a separate start).
"The g-Force Rival+ will complement the g-Force Rival S tire, which many know and love," said Raymond Cotton, Director of Motorsports at Michelin in North America. "The g-Force Rival S is not going anywhere, and will still be available to those who need maximum grip on dry pavement."

Both tires have an enhanced internal structure, the PRC (Performance Racing Core), optimized to reduce sidewall deflection and provide an instant response to driver actions.
The BFGoodrich g-Force Rival S and Rival+ are available in 14 identical sizes, from 205/50 R15 to 305/30ZR19.
