"Bars". Made in Uzbekistan

Tires made in Uzbekistan. Probably, this is not the argument that most buyers expect. Tires made in Europe, Russia, China sound more familiar, but Uzbekistan is not associated with tire production. Nevertheless, tires released under the BARS brand are from there. Is it worth considering tires of this brand for purchase, let's figure it out today. 

First of all, it's worth noting that the factory is modern, with sufficiently modern equipment, both semi-automatic and fully automatic assembly lines. The plant's annual production capacity is 3 million car tires, 200,000 agricultural tires, and 100,000 meters of conveyor belts for production. If we take only passenger car tires, we can notice that the plant is currently loaded less than 20% of its real capacity, which means there is good potential for growth.

In addition, it recently became known that the UzAuto Motors plant, which assembles Chevrolet cars, has homologated the Bars UZ600 tire for primary equipment on Chevrolet Damas minivans. It seems like what's the big deal, since one Uzbekistan plant will supply tires to another Uzbekistan plant for car assembly. In the automotive world, everything is not that simple. Despite the localization of production, the Chevrolet brand belongs to an American company, which has its own quality requirements, and the plant has been producing cars for a long time, but equipping them with tires from other brands. So, the start of such cooperation is a good sign and a true sign of high quality. 

It's also interesting to observe how, using local legislation, the manufacturer has skillfully copied the Michelin CrossClimate, releasing the Bars WZ320. The tire is completely identical in pattern, but, of course, that's not enough to compete in characteristics. A tire is not just a pattern, but also a rubber compound, which is the know-how of world leaders in the industry. Nevertheless, this is an interesting step. It's rather not a desire to copy the pattern to increase sales, but to produce a copy to learn. Chinese manufacturers also once copied patterns without hesitation. Today, they not only produce fully their own tires but have also approached the strongest manufacturers. 

In conclusion, we can draw the conclusion that BARS brand tires are not the best technical choice, but they are definitely worth their money. At least, you can be absolutely calm about their quality today. Maybe in some time, we will see tires of this brand in the TOP-5 by characteristics in some test.
