Barez will build a new tire plant
The Iranian tire company Barez Industrial Group is launching several investment projects, which include the construction of a new plant and the expansion of existing production facilities.
The new tire plant, whose construction has already begun in Elikuderez (Luristan province), is expected to be opened by July 2025, with a capacity of around 15,000 tons of radial truck/bus and light truck tires. In the second phase, which is to be completed by March 2027, production volumes will be increased to 35,000 tons.
Barez is also expanding its plants in Kerman and Kurdistan. It is expected that by March 2025, the capacity of the first of them will increase to 26,000 tons of tires for passenger cars, trucks, SUVs and special equipment, and by March 2027 - by another 18,000 tons. After that, the enterprise will be able to produce more than 135,000 tons of all types of tires per year. In turn, the plant in Sanandaj will almost double the production of tires for passenger cars and SUVs, with volumes of 66,000 tons by March 2027.
As part of another project, Barez also intends to open a regenerant production plant with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year. The enterprise is planned to be opened by September 2025 in Sirjan, and it is reported to help the company achieve its sustainable development goals.
The total cost of all projects exceeds $270 million.
