ASHK automates production
The company "Argum", based in Barnaul, has implemented another project to replace imports and automated the production line for the Altai Tire Plant (ATP). The project took several years to implement, and the work included the development of documentation and software, as well as the creation of a line control point, taking into account the specifics of the enterprise, reported the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Altai Territory.
As noted by the technical director of ATP, Alexander Bayandin, the "triplex" type line will allow to improve the quality of products and reduce waste, and in addition, the plant will be able to increase production volumes by 20-25%.
The automated three-story line produces rubber tape for tire production and was purchased abroad, while the supply of European automation systems and software could have been complicated due to sanctions.
"This is import substitution in its pure form - here is domestic automation, all software is local, Altai production. We are not tied to European technologies, - emphasized Bayandin. - I know for sure that several organizations had such a situation: European companies completely disconnected their service due to sanctions, cut off the possibility of updates. We chose domestic automation and software immediately to insure ourselves against such unpleasant situations."
Since tire production is associated with dust, a special container with a microclimate was planned for sensitive equipment, and two air conditioners were installed to maintain the temperature regime, and it is noted that heat is removed not into air calorifiers, which become clogged with dirt and cease to function effectively, but into water.
"A European manufacturer would have required a separate room for automation systems, but our project allowed us to do without a new room without compromising quality, - said the head of the company "Argum" Alexey Grigoriev. - The project we developed is specifically designed for these conditions. If control systems, frequency converters, controllers overheat or come into contact with dust, they cease to function correctly. We placed them inside a special container and provided constant clean air and a cooling system there. Thanks to this, the equipment will work clearly and last a long time"
During the launch of the line, the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Altai Territory, Vyacheslav Khimochka, stated that now the company will be able to expand its consumer base. "The Altai Tire Plant is very important for the country and for the region, - he noted. - And every project implemented at the enterprise leads to strengthening positions, improving product quality, increasing competitiveness and demand for products on the market. We see that thanks to the launch of the new line, labor productivity will increase and, what is no less important, Russian enterprises are able to not only compete with foreign manufacturers but also set new quality standards in their industry"
