70 years to the Altai tire plant
The chemist, which this year fell on May 31, the enterprise, now in the top five largest plants in the region and implementing a large-scale modernization program, was visited by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mikhail Yurin.
"This is a unique enterprise of its kind: here not mass segment tires are produced - for passenger or cargo cars, but products for special, agricultural and aviation equipment," he said. - The combine had different stages of work. But now, with the arrival of a new owner, we see how the attitude has changed both to the introduction of technologies and to production itself. Today, the enterprise is implementing a modernization program. I think that, given the existing nomenclature of tires, the combine has an interesting future, which will give both new volumes and new quality".
According to the general director of AShK Vladimir Balabanov, the modernization of production would not have been possible without the support of the federal Fund for the Development of Industry and the Fund for the Development of the Altai Territory, and in April, new lines for dosing chemicals were launched, which made it possible to automate a complex technological process.
He also noted that "in today's economic situation, state assistance is the most effective investment." "Re-equipment is not only and not so much the acquisition of equipment, but the entire set of various qualitative changes that it gives, including the automation of all processes," emphasized the head of the company.
AShK produces, among other things, aviation tires, and not so long ago, tires for Russian MS-21 and Superjet 100 aircraft were developed. The implementation of the project took several years, and now the tires have already passed certification tests and are undergoing flight tests.
According to Yurin, not all countries have their own production of aviation tires. "There are several companies in the world that do this. And I can say that from a technological point of view, we are in this club. Our tires are not inferior in quality to imported developments," he emphasized.
The Minister of Industry of the Altai Territory Vyacheslav Khimochka said that now AShK is the largest industrial enterprise in Barnaul and stably enters the top five in the region, and its staff is about 2.5 thousand people.
The decision to create a tire enterprise in Barnaul was made in the 1950s, and production was launched in 1969. In 1974, the first aviation tire was produced, and in the 2000s, a modernization program was started.
"Over 70 years, the Altai Tire Combine has experienced everything - ups and downs, successes and failures. I think that the most important thing that is in our team is stress resistance. In any conditions, the combine found opportunities to rebuild, adapt to current conditions and move forward. Today we are confidently looking to the future. I think everything will work out," Balabanov summed up.
