Description Yokohama TY303
The Yokohama TY303 cargo tire is characterized by the Japanese manufacturer as a "workhorse". The model is designed not only for trucks, but also for special equipment based on them, used on highways. It is offered in four sizes with diameters from 19.5 to 22.5 inches. It is distinguished by improved traction and coupling properties, fuel efficiency, and long service life.
Durability
The tire tread is made of a rubber compound, the composition of which was chosen with the aim of providing the lowest fuel consumption and high reliability. The compound contains silica and special polymer compounds that further increase the tear and tensile strength. This allowed the tread to be given elasticity and high resistance to mechanical damage.
Reduced rolling resistance
The design of the tread pattern has several features that reduce rolling resistance in one way or another. The blocks in the central part are combined into two wide longitudinal ribs. At the same time, the elements themselves are arranged at a large angle relative to the direction of movement. As a result, it was possible to reduce rolling resistance without compromising coupling properties, especially on slippery surfaces. In turn, the shoulder areas have a solid structure. This also reduces fuel consumption and optimizes the distribution of the vehicle's weight load across the contact patch. This made it possible to significantly reduce uneven tread wear.
Improved traction on slippery surfaces
The tread pattern is distinguished by a high content of coupling edges. They are formed not only by blocks, but also by lamellas cut into them. In addition, the grooves located between the tread elements provide rapid water drainage from the contact patch, which reduces the risk of the tread floating over the road.
Key features of the Yokohama TY303 tire
- possibility of use on special equipment;
- long service life due to an optimized rubber compound with high resistance to mechanical damage and wear;
- reduced rolling resistance with high traction and coupling properties is provided by a tread pattern with inclined blocks and solid shoulder areas;
- improved traction on wet surfaces is achieved by the effective operation of lamellas in the blocks.
