Description Yokohama RY637
The Yokohama RY637 truck tire is specifically designed for the steering axle of long-haul trucks operating in the field of intercity and interregional transportation. A distinctive feature of this model is the design developed using the latest technologies of the well-known and respected Japanese manufacturer.
SC-RIB & SC-SIPE
The SC-RIB & SC-SIPE technology represents a special design of longitudinal ribs, which ensures a reduction in pressure on their edges. This allows for a significant increase in the durability of the tread to wear, which, in turn, substantially extends its service life.
SC-GROOVE
The SC-GROOVE technology is a whole complex of technical solutions related to the design of the shoulder areas. This part of the tread is separated from its center by drainage grooves of increased width. In addition, the shoulder areas of the Yokohama RY637 have been significantly increased, without containing any composite components. This design provides the tire with a number of important properties. The main one is the increase in the width of the contact patch, which has taken on a practically rectangular shape. As a result, it was possible to achieve an increase in the stability of the traction properties, carrying capacity, and resistance to uneven wear.
Beading ring filler
Another "signature" technology from Yokohama, which has found application in this model, is the beading ring filler. Thanks to it, a more dense fit of the tire to the wheel disk is ensured, which, in turn, gives stability and reliability to the handling. In addition, this solution provides a longer service life.
Main features of the Yokohama RY637 tire
- the tire is designed for the steering axle;
- the SC-RIB & SC-SIPE technology reduces the load on the edges of the longitudinal tread ribs, which reduces the likelihood of premature tread wear;
- the SC-GROOVE technology improves carrying capacity, resistance to uneven wear, and traction on dry roads;
- the beading ring filler improves the fit of the tire to the wheel rim, making handling more stable and reliable, and also contributing to an increase in service life;
- a very long service life due to the possibility of cutting the tread pattern and its restoration by the "cold vulcanization" method.
