The Yokohama Ice Guard IG52C winter tire is designed for compact and mid-size passenger cars. It stands out for its excellent traction properties on icy surfaces for non-studded tires, directional stability, and quiet and smooth ride.
The key feature of the model is the rubber compound. Thanks to a special manufacturing technology, it has a fine-porous structure. Numerous tiny voids additionally dry the road surface under the contact patch, which significantly improves traction properties on icy surfaces. At the same time, the high content of silica in the compound further increases the efficiency of the tire at low road surface temperatures. The tread pattern is distinguished by a high density of lamellas. "Three-dimensional" cuts form thousands of additional traction edges, increasing traction properties on any flat surface with a low coefficient of friction.
