Yokohama Geolandar M/T G001

The all-season passenger tire Yokohama Geolandar M/T G001 is one of the most successful mud tires created by the world-famous Japanese tire manufacturer. This model is designed primarily for vehicles with increased off-road capability - SUVs, pickups, which are operated mainly outside roads with a solid coating. The M/T prefix in the name means "mud terrain", i.e. this tire has a fairly narrow specialization and is able to fully reveal itself when overcoming sections with such unstable soils as sand, mud, and gravel.

The tire is equipped with a V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern, the design of which is rich in high and massive blocks of a quadrangular shape. The blocks located in the very center of the tread are equipped with a stepped profile, which creates additional edges, significantly increasing the tire's resistance to lateral skidding when driving off-road. The remaining blocks, located closer to the shoulder areas, have special notches that are also designed for more confident overcoming of complex off-road sections.

Also, it is impossible not to note the exceptional abilities of the Yokohama G001 tire tread to self-cleaning. This was achieved thanks to a very large distance between the tread blocks.

Another distinctive feature of this mud model is a very powerful design of the shoulder areas of the tread, consisting of massive and high lugs. This solution allowed the Japanese tire manufacturers to significantly increase the tire's passability on sand, mud, and snow. At the same time, the large height in combination with a special protective belt located on the sidewall of the tire provides excellent protection for this most vulnerable part from lateral punctures and cuts.
