The summer tire Yokohama Geolandar CV G058 is installed on SUVs, pickups and SUV category vehicles. It is a High Terrain tire, showing the highest efficiency on asphalt roads. It differs from most similar tires of other brands with improved traction properties on a wet surface, resistance to wear, and a high level of acoustic comfort.
Excellent traction on a wet surface
The design of the tread pattern is distinguished by the presence of a large number of lamellas. Narrow slits are located transversely, which makes it possible to achieve high tire efficiency on wet surfaces during longitudinal accelerations. The use of lamellas makes it possible to significantly slow down the wear rate of the tread, increasing its service life.
Reduced noise level
The elements of the tread pattern are distributed along the longitudinal ribs. They are arranged with an offset relative to each other. This solution makes it possible to reduce the likelihood of formation of low-frequency noises and vibrations from the tire rolling. As a result, the acoustic comfort in the car cabin is significantly reduced.
Low tendency to aquaplaning
The tread contains four wide longitudinal grooves. The elements located in the central part have a significant volume, thanks to which almost any amount of water can be drained from under the contact patch at a time, reducing the risk of aquaplaning to a minimum even at high speeds.
Increased contact patch
The profile of the tread has a shape such that the contact patch under load becomes larger and almost square. In addition to enhancing traction, this solution reduces the wear rate of the tire, increasing its durability, and also gives stability to the tire's behavior during braking and maneuvering.
Main features:
- increased number of lamellas improves traction on a wet surface;
- several types of narrow slits prevent uneven wear, reduce its rate;
- 5-step arrangement of tread pattern elements improves acoustic comfort in the car cabin.
