Yokohama Advan dB v553 – a summer tire from the renowned Japanese manufacturer, which was introduced in 2024. The tire is an evolution of the V552 model, but with improved noise reduction and wear resistance.
The manufacturer has paid special attention to the tire's noise level, which, compared to the previous generation, has been reduced by 15%. This was achieved due to several factors. Firstly, it is the optimization of the structure of the tread elements. In this case, it is an asymmetric arrangement of blocks with numerous channels, supplemented by diagonal notches. This made it possible to minimize the formation of air turbulence, which in turn reduced the noise level, including at high speeds. Secondly, a new compound composition, which, despite its density, is capable of suppressing most vibrations and damping noise effects. It is important to note that the developer also paid special attention to wear resistance, which has increased by 22%.
Another important feature is the strength of the construction combined with minimized rolling resistance. These indicators allow the tire to be installed on modern electric cars, providing full disclosure of their potential while maintaining the duration of the operational period.
Among the production specifics, it is worth highlighting the company's use of electricity from renewable sources, as well as environmentally friendly materials.
Key features of Yokohama Advan dB v553:
- summer operation on a wide range of vehicles, including electric cars;
- 15% reduced noise generation and improved acoustic comfort;
- minimized rolling resistance due to the reduced number of elements and a special compound;
- reliable fixation of the contact patch on a wet road and fast drying due to the developed drainage system;
- increased wear resistance (by 22% compared to the previous model) due to the optimization of the rubber mixture and the structure of the carcass.
