Yokohama expands partnership with Nissan
Yokohama has announced that its tires have been approved for fitment on the Nissan N6, the first hybrid sedan from the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture, launched in the Chinese market last December, as well as the new generation of the flagship minivan Nissan Elgrand, available in Japan starting July 2026.
On the N6, Yokohama ADVAN dB V553 tires in size 225/50 R18 are fitted. These tires belong to the "comfort" category and are designed to reduce noise and extend service life. The manufacturer also claims that the tires maintain their acoustic performance and wet-road grip as the tread wears, while the E+ marking indicates they were developed with the specific requirements of hybrid and electric vehicles in mind.

In turn, the Elgrand is equipped with Yokohama ADVAN V61 tires in size 235/60 R18. According to the company, these tires combine optimal handling with high fuel efficiency and excellent acoustic comfort, making them suitable for both city driving and long-distance travel.

As part of its Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026) growth strategy, the company is currently increasing the share of high-profit products in its sales, including expanding shipments of premium ADVAN tires for original equipment on new vehicles. In China, particular emphasis is being placed on collaboration with automakers specializing in new energy vehicles.
