Description WestLake WDS1
The commercial tire WestLake WDS1 is designed for use on asphalt roads with any quality of coverage. It is recommended for use on leading axles. It is characterized by excellent traction on wet and snowy surfaces and an increased service life.
This model is one of the few where it is structurally possible to install studs, for which special mounting holes are present on the tread. In their absence, high traction and coupling properties on winter surfaces are provided by numerous blocks with bidirectional edges and saw-toothed lamellas cut into them. The tire uses a special compound that retains a significant part of its elasticity at low temperatures.
Main features of WestLake WDS1
- the possibility of increasing traction and coupling properties on slippery winter surfaces by installing studs;
- good grip on snow and wet surfaces due to blocks with bidirectional edges and saw-toothed lamellas cut into them;
- the increased tread width and increased stiffness of the shoulder blocks provide the tire with excellent resistance to abrasive wear.
