The WestLake SU307 passenger tire has a fairly wide range of applications, which is not surprising given its purpose. This model was created specifically for passenger vehicles with increased cross-country ability, i.e., for all-wheel drive off-road vehicles and crossovers. At the same time, its extensive size range, which includes several dozen sizes for wheels with a landing diameter from 15 to 17 inches, provides it with excellent applicability.

Scope of application

According to the international classification, the WestLake SU307 model belongs to the All Terrain category, which in practice means the possibility of operation throughout the year. For our country, "all-season" should be perceived with a number of reservations, since for completely winter conditions, this tire is adapted quite poorly. This is mainly due to the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, the characteristics of which will be discussed below.

Universal tread pattern

A characteristic feature of the tread pattern of this model is the clear division into shoulder zones and the central part located between them. All these functional zones contain a total of five longitudinal ribs formed from a multitude of massive blocks of predominantly quadrangular shape. Such a design provides the tire with good directional stability, quite good fuel efficiency, and reliable traction on various types of surfaces.

Excellent traction properties on slippery roads

The block design of the tread pattern of this model made it possible to provide a contact patch with a very large number of traction edges of significant length. Their significant number is formed due to the lamellas cut through the entire depth of the tread. Due to the fact that a significant part of them is located transversely, the tire demonstrates excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction.
