The WestLake RP28 summer tire is used in compact passenger cars. The size range includes options for wheels with diameters from 13 to 16 inches. The Asian manufacturer refers to the model as "Touring", particularly emphasizing its comfort, shortened braking distance in adverse weather conditions, and pronounced fuel-saving properties.
The design of the tread pattern contains solutions that are the result of modern digital technologies. In particular, this made it possible to ensure a balance between aquaplaning resistance and noise level, maximizing the improvement of both of these important parameters for any tire. The rubber compound further enhances these and a number of other operational properties. More than half of the compound consists of silica, which simultaneously increases elasticity and strength against rupture and stretching.
Key features of WestLake RP28
- a "digitally" designed tread pattern provides an ideal balance between all main operational properties without compromising any of them;
- a compound consisting of more than half silicon-containing components gives the tire reliability on wet pavement and wear resistance;
- two narrow rigid ribs in the center improve directional stability, provide clear feedback when maneuvering.
