The Vredestein Snow+ winter tire has a narrow but highly specialized specialization. The main target audience for this model is the owners of classic passenger cars. This feature is noted by the manufacturer itself, and in addition, this tire is distinguished by a rather unusual size range, represented by four types - 155/82, 155/80, 165/80 and 165/86. At the same time, all sizes are designed for wheels with a mounting diameter of 15 inches, and their speed index is not too high for modern times - Q. However, this cannot be considered a disadvantage, given the specifics of the application of this model.
Original tread pattern
Despite the fact that the Vredestein Snow+ tire is designed for operation on classic cars, the appearance of its tread pattern can be characterized as, at the very least, unusual. This impression is created due to the absence of a clear division of the tread into longitudinal ribs. Of course, they are present, but to see them, you need to look closely for a long time.
Another feature of the tread pattern of this tire is its block structure. I.e. the tread consists of many separate blocks that have a complex polygonal shape. Thanks to this technical solution, the Dutch tire manufacturers were able to provide a contact patch with many edges of adhesion, and due to their massive size, an even distribution of external pressure. As a result, the tire acquired several important abilities at once, primarily reliable adhesion to a slippery surface, as well as excellent resistance to uneven wear. In addition, it is impossible not to note the significant reduction in rolling resistance, which was achieved due to the massiveness and close arrangement of the tread blocks.
Excellent ice grip
Unfortunately, this model is offered without studs. However, due to the presence of seats for them, it is quite simple to solve this problem. Nevertheless, even without studs, this tire demonstrates confident behavior on icy roads. This was the result of the presence in the composition of the rubber mixture of special components, some of which provided this model with excellent elasticity even at low temperatures of the environment.
