The Vredestein Quatrac tire is designed for year-round use on passenger vehicles. It is characterized by a balance of performance characteristics and fuel efficiency. The latter was achieved due to the reduction of the model's weight and rolling resistance.
The basis of the tread pattern is a V-shaped design, which allowed the tire to have a number of operational characteristics. Firstly, it is improved traction on dry asphalt. This factor affected both handling and reduced braking distance. To optimize the grip properties in cold weather, a network of lamellas was provided, located on diagonal blocks. And numerous channels, opening outward in the shoulder area, are responsible for the removal of slush and water masses.
The rubber compound, containing not only silica but also special polymers, adapts well to the ambient temperature, maintaining the elasticity of the tire at the same level.
Key features of Vredestein Quatrac
- all-season operation on passenger vehicles;
- confident traction on wet and dry asphalt due to the increased number of gripping edges;
- rapid removal of water, snow, and heat from the contact area;
- maintaining performance characteristics at any temperature due to silica and polymer additives.
