The Taurus Ice winter tire is designed for compact and medium-sized passenger cars. It is characterized by stable traction and braking efficiency on icy and snowy roads, fuel economy, and high mileage.
The tread pattern is designed in a directional style, featuring large blocks with elongated edges. This improves traction properties on snow. Closely spaced lugs and studs allow them to be retained on icy roads. The optimized tread profile increases the contact patch, improving traction, its stability during maneuvering, and providing additional resistance to abrasive wear.
Key Features of Taurus Ice
- Closely spaced lugs and numerous studs provide reliable traction on ice and compacted snow;
- Increased tread blocks with elongated edges increase traction and braking force on snow;
- The rubber compound with a high "silica" content remains elastic at extremely low temperatures, allowing the tire to effectively grip the road surface even in such conditions.
