Description Taitong HS918
The Taitong HS918 truck tire is designed for use on the drive axles of highway tractors, being the result of the rapid development of the Chinese tire industry. Compared to its numerous predecessors, this model is favorably distinguished not only by an even more attractive price-to-quality ratio but also by excellent operational characteristics, making its purchase even more economically efficient.
Unique S-shaped tread pattern
One of the characteristic features of the Taitong HS918 model is the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, made in a very original S-shaped design. It is formed due to the location and shape of individual blocks, which it consists of entirely. All individual tread elements are grouped into five longitudinal ribs, which contributes to reducing rolling resistance and improving directional stability.
Uniform distribution of external pressure over the contact patch
As mentioned earlier, the tread pattern of this model contains five longitudinal ribs, composed of blocks. At the same time, the central part contains only one row of individual tread elements, which are distinguished not only by their polygonal shape but also by their massive size. In turn, the shoulder zones contain two rows of blocks, spaced at a minimum distance from each other. Such a design not only increases the size of the contact patch but also provides optimal distribution of external weight over it. As a result, the tire demonstrates very reliable and stable behavior in any road conditions, as well as increased resistance to uneven wear, which extends its service life.
Main features of the Taitong HS918 tire
- the tire is designed for installation on the drive axles of trucks;
- excellent traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction due to the presence of a large number of very long transverse edges formed by numerous tread blocks;
- five longitudinal ribs provide excellent directional stability and reduced rolling resistance;
- a wide contact patch, excellent load-carrying capacity, strength, and resistance to uneven wear due to the massive size of the tread blocks and their arrangement, which ensures optimal distribution of external weight over the support surface.
