The commercial tire Taitong HS228 is designed for operation in mixed conditions, being calculated for use in trucks and special equipment, applied, among other things, on dirt surfaces. It is distinguished by increased traction properties on loose unstable surfaces, strength and long service life in the most difficult conditions.

The tread pattern is notable for its open shoulder areas. The blocks contained in them have elongated curved edges, which provide excellent traction on dirt. The increased voids between them allow the tread to avoid "clogging". In the central part, the densely spaced blocks partially overlap each other, forming a continuous longitudinal rib. It reduces rolling resistance and heat, provides good stability of grip at high speed, increasing the overall performance of the tire on the highway.
