Description Taitong HS216
The Taitong HS216 commercial tire is installed on the drive axles of heavy-duty trucks. It was created with the preferences of European and American carriers in mind, using German technology. It is characterized by improved longitudinal traction and fuel-saving properties, as well as an increased service life.
Stiff Shoulder
A distinctive feature of the tread design is the presence of solid shoulder zones. Both are wide longitudinal ribs. Due to their rigid design, these elements improve several operational properties of the tire. Most of them are related to the optimization of the distribution of external load on the contact patch. In combination with the flat tread profile, it becomes very even, which reduces the likelihood of uneven wear and ensures the stability of traction properties. Solid shoulder zones reduce rolling resistance and, along with it, the heat generation of the tire when driving at high speeds and fuel consumption.
Improved Longitudinal Traction Properties
The central part of the tread features two rows of massive blocks arranged transversely. During movement, they form sharp and high edges that are distinguished not only by their numerosity and directionality but also by their significant length. This gives the longitudinal traction properties high stability, especially on slippery surfaces. Their small inclination reduces rolling resistance, and the arrangement of blocks with a slight offset from each other reduces the level of resonant noise and vibrations.
