Description Taitong HS102
The Taitong HS102 truck tire is a representative of the new generation of Chinese tire manufacturers' products. The key feature of this model, designed for installation on the driving axles of trucks, is its wide range of applications. This has been achieved through a universal tread pattern that demonstrates equally high performance on both summer and winter roads. Other notable features of this tire include excellent load-carrying capacity, resistance to abrasive and uneven wear, and the traditionally attractive cost of Chinese tire products.
Increased number of traction edges
In the development of the Taitong HS102 model, particular attention was paid to ensuring good traction properties on slippery roads. This desire is the reason for the choice of Chinese tire manufacturers in favor of a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern with an original design. Its distinctive feature is the presence of a large number of individual rectangular blocks. They are arranged longitudinally and grouped into six longitudinal ribs. During movement, they form a large number of transverse edges, providing the tire with excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction. At the same time, the longitudinal arrangement of the blocks allows for excellent directional stability.
Multiple lamellas
It is also worth noting the presence of a large number of straight lamellas, located on each block of the tread and cut through its entire depth. These elements perform several very important functions at once. First of all, this is the formation of multiple additional traction edges, which provides the tire with more confident behavior on slippery roads.
In addition, when in contact with the road surface, the lamellas literally spread the blocks, increasing their area, and thus the size of the contact patch. Thanks to this, the traction on dry road is improved, and the load-carrying capacity and resistance to impact loads and uneven wear are also increased.
Main features of the Taitong HS102 tire
- a wide range of applications due to a universal tread pattern that provides excellent traction properties on both summer and winter roads;
- an increased number of traction edges formed by numerous blocks and lamellas on their surface, improving traction in the longitudinal direction;
- six longitudinal ribs increase directional stability;
- large contact patch sizes, provided by massive block sizes, as well as lamellas that "spread" them, improve traction properties on dry asphalt, as well as load-carrying capacity and strength, due to more even distribution of external pressure.
