Sonix WinterXPro Studs 69 (Non-Studded) — a winter tire for passenger cars designed for use in severe snow conditions. In this non-studded version, traction is provided by the pronounced block edges and dense sipe network. For drivers, this means more confident driving on snow and predictable vehicle response on variable winter roads.
The tread features a distinct directional V-shaped pattern. Widening diagonal grooves create open channels for snow to escape from the contact patch. As the wheel rotates, the tread clears packed snow, preserving the working edges of the blocks and helping the vehicle maintain traction during snowfall.
The wide tread area and straight shoulder contours form an extended support surface. This helps the tire transmit longitudinal forces more stably, making acceleration and braking on snowy roads more controllable.
Numerous wavy sipes generate additional biting edges across each block's surface. These help the tread maintain grip on compacted snow and other slippery winter surfaces. The multi-directional arrangement of edges ensures traction not only during straight-line driving but also when maneuvering.
Saw-toothed edges on the shoulder blocks increase contact points with snow at the edges of the tread. Together with open lateral gaps, they help the shoulder zones self-clean and interact more confidently with loose snow. Drivers benefit from more stable vehicle response during cornering and lane changes.
Blocks are arranged in a variable pitch sequence: alternating elements of different lengths reduce tread pattern noise. This enhances acoustic comfort, especially noticeable during extended driving on cleared roads.
