The Signet Winter Trax winter studded passenger tire is designed for use on passenger cars of class "B" and "C".
The tread pattern design features all the characteristics inherent to winter tires. The tire tread has five ribs, four of which consist of separate blocks. All blocks have a complex geometric shape of a polygon, with many external and internal angles.
To reduce rolling resistance, improve directional stability and traction, the central rib is a single unit. To improve traction on snow, each block is equipped with two zigzag-shaped lamellas. For effective removal of snow and water from the tire's contact patch, the tread pattern features four wide longitudinal grooves, which significantly increase the reliability of handling on slippery snow-covered roads. Additionally, the large distance between the tire blocks of the Signet Winter Trax significantly improves the basic braking, traction, and driving performance on snow.
The shoulder areas of the tread are divided into separate blocks, which are essentially powerful traction claws, significantly improving the vehicle's ability to overcome deep snow. Two rows of studs facilitate the movement of the vehicle on icy roads.
Key features of Signet Winter Trax
- Good traction on snow, thanks to the large distance between blocks;
- Comfort and low noise level due to the single central rib;
- Good traction and short braking distance on snow, provided by the original block shape with zigzag lamellas;
- Excellent self-cleaning abilities of the tread due to the large distance between the structural elements of the tread;
- Two rows of studs provide reliability when driving on icy roads.
