Description Sicuro Secure D42
The Sicuro Secure D42 model is recommended for installation on the driving axles of large-capacity trucks. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a universal model, effective in use in both regional and high-speed highway transportation. It stands out for its increased traction properties on snow and wet surfaces, as well as its durability and resistance to damage.
The tread pattern consists of massive rectangular blocks that form six longitudinal ribs. This solution minimizes rolling resistance, ensuring good stability of traction properties at high speeds, while maintaining it on wet and snowy surfaces. It is worth noting the arrangement of blocks in a "chess" order with partial overlap of each other. This noticeably increases the contact patch, allowing for the most even distribution of pressure on the road surface. As a result, traction properties are improved, the durability of the tread to abrasive wear is increased, and rolling resistance, vibrations, and noise are reduced. These properties are also enhanced due to the optimization of the tread profile, which additionally expands the contact patch, maintaining its shape and size even under significant impact of multidirectional acceleration forces.
Main features of Sicuro Secure D42:
- a large number of blocks and lamellas increases traction and stability of grip on wet and snowy surfaces;
- an optimized tread profile and the arrangement of tread elements in a "chess" order reduce fuel consumption, prevent premature wear, and increase the stability of traction properties;
- a special compound improves grip, increases tire mileage, giving it increased resistance to wear, punctures, and tears.
