The Shinko 008 motorcycle tire is designed for sportbikes. It is intended for amateur road racing. It features a tread pattern with no design, which, combined with a special compound, provides uncompromising traction on dry pavement.

The tread pattern has a profile optimized so that at any angle of inclination, the contact patch has maximum dimensions, a nearly square shape that remains unchanged. This gives the traction exceptional stability, and combined with a stiff carcass, uncompromising precision in handling, including traction force. The carcass's resistance to deformation is ensured by the use of a progressive winding method without seam formation. This also uses aramid, a lightweight material that further reduces the weight of the tire.
