Like other models with the MC abbreviation in their name, the Sava MC 17 tire is designed for scooters. However, unlike most of them, it has much more versatile capabilities, especially off paved roads and even on snow. This model was developed with the needs of scooter owners who prefer to use their vehicles not only in summer and on asphalt, but also on dirt and snowy roads. Such operating conditions impose special requirements on the operational properties of tires, which led to a number of changes in their design, which will be discussed below.

Enduro-style

The key change in appearance is the tread pattern, made in the same V-shaped design as tires for touring "enduro". It is characterized by the presence of a large number of individual elements distributed across several functional zones. In the central part, there are wide blocks of original V-shaped shape. During movement, they form a multitude of long, inwardly curved edges of adhesion, thanks to which the Sava MC17 tire has the ability to cling to almost any slippery surface. At the same time, the significant distance between the blocks allows the tread to effectively self-clean from dirt particles and small stones that get into it.

In turn, the blocks of the shoulder zones are much smaller in size. The edges of adhesion formed by them are located transversely, which provides increased traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction.

Reinforced carcass

Unlike regular scooter tires, this model has a reinforced carcass. The basis of its design is a strong and lightweight nylon cord. On the one hand, this allowed the tire to maintain a low weight, and on the other hand, it gave it high resistance to any external influence.
