Description Sailun S637+
The Sailun S637+ tire is designed for trucks and buses. Its additional versatility is ensured by the possibility of installing it not only on the steering axle, for which it was developed, but also on trailers and semi-trailers. In motion, the tire demonstrates stability at any speed and a long service life.
Lamellas
The tire's tread has a number of features that provide the tire with most of its advantages. One of them is the numerous lamellas cut into the longitudinal ribs of the central part. They solve two tasks at once. First of all, it is the formation of transverse edges of adhesion, which increase the effectiveness of the tread on wet pavement. Another function of these elements is the more intense dissipation of heat generated during movement. Reducing the heating of the tire increases the service life of the tread.
Enclosed Tread Design
The tire is equipped with a tread featuring a so-called "enclosed" design. The shoulder longitudinal ribs are solid, which, combined with their large width, significantly reduces rolling resistance and, consequently, fuel consumption.
Original Drainage Groove Design
Like the lamellas, the longitudinal drainage grooves perform several functions. The main one is to dry the contact patch, which reduces the risk of aquaplaning. At the same time, due to the inclination of the side walls, they increase the resistance to deformation of the longitudinal ribs, which improves stability at high speeds and reduces the risk of uneven wear.
Key Features of Sailun S637+
- versatility in application, thanks to the possibility of installation not only on steering but also on trailer axles of cargo vehicles;
- lamellas in the central longitudinal ribs improve adhesion on wet pavement, reduce tire heating;
- enclosed tread design reduces rolling resistance;
- drainage grooves with inclined walls prevent uneven wear, improve directional stability at high speeds.
