Description

Technologies

Technology Tread pattern cascade
Tread pattern cascade
Better snow and ice cutting for better snow handling and a wider lateral contact area for better lateral grip.
Technology Lattice-based main groove with inclined Z-shaped grooves
Lattice-based main groove with inclined Z-shaped grooves
The mesh design of the main grooves ensures rapid snow evacuation and improves anti-skid properties, while also effectively reducing the braking distance on snow and ice. The braking distance on snowy and icy roads is reduced by adding inclined Z-shaped grooves in the central block, which improves traction and handling on snowy and icy roads, as well as increases the ability to move in a straight line.
Technology Tread groove with stepped design
Tread groove with stepped design
Three-dimensional stepped grooves are applied to the tire blocks, allowing the blocks to cling to each other during cornering or braking, maintaining the necessary block stiffness and improving traction on wet and dry surfaces.

The tire pleased both with the price and quality. Bought on the advice of an acquaintance. Balances perfectly! Handling is good, with the current winter and temperature fluctuations from snow to rain and back. On dry road above 120 km, noise appears (it's even hard to compare with something), but not strong, just understandable that this is winter non-studded tire. Only that. Comfortable when driving - soft. Snow and slush when changing lanes at medium speed (70-100) passes without yaw. Once slipped sideways on ice, not strongly (my own fault), stood still and with a strong inclination. Moves on clean ice, even as a tow truck (minibus from a snowbank on the roadside). Not eager to drive on ice on the road. Wear resistance without comments, new. In principle, the tire is excellent. So far, very pleased, honestly did not expect.

In 2023, I went "all in", as I thought earlier, I replaced my "Japanese" tires with "Chinese" ones, and on top of that, I also got Chinese "boots" for winter. At the time of writing this review, I've driven over 2,500 kilometers on these winter tires, on various road surfaces, but mostly in the city. That is, it's been asphalt, wet asphalt, asphalt with ice, ice, packed and unpacked snow. Before this, I drove on Michelin and Kumho studded tires for 9 winters, and overall, I was satisfied. Yes, it took some getting used to, but in the end, I drove with them beyond the Arctic Circle and beyond the Urals, and many other places - studded tires on four-wheel drive are quite good. And now, these Chinese "boots"... Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised. They were assembled perfectly, with minimal balancing needed. There's no increase in noise in the cabin. They're moderately stiff, but not rigid, even at -30°C. On snow, they grip almost like on asphalt, and the handling is quite predictable. During a thaw, I drove confidently through puddles, without noticing any sign of aquaplaning. The most challenging surface, as with all studded tires, is ice covered with snow. That's where you need to be careful, the car doesn't sway, it always goes straight, but the braking distance is not small. In all other respects, I give these tires a solid 5, considering the price.

So, I'll continue to use them, hoping my opinion won't change.
