The Roadstone Winguard Spike LT TK winter tire is designed for commercial vehicles of small capacity. It is based on the same model for passenger cars, but differs from it with a reinforced frame structure and a modified rubber compound.
The tread pattern has a directional design with a V-shaped arrangement of drainage grooves. The extended edges formed by them improve directional stability and traction properties on snow. In addition, the direction of the drainage grooves against the direction of movement, their aggressive slope and increased width reduce the risk of aquaplaning and slush planing.
There are wavy lamellas throughout the tread. They form several thousand sharp edges that the tire literally bites into the icy surface. Performance on snow is provided by numerous blocks. The elements at the edges of the tread have zigzag edges. They additionally strengthen the grip on a snowy surface.
