The winter tire Roadstone Winguard Ice Plus was developed by Nexen specialists. The South Korean brand's lineup features a same-name model. Both tires are identical to each other and are used on compact and medium-sized passenger cars. On any winter roads, it demonstrates high stability, simplifies the control process thanks to its quickness and accuracy in reactions.
The tread pattern is distinctive with the so-called "double V-shaped" design. Its key feature is the increased content of inclined transverse edges. Such a arrangement increases their length, which, in combination with their high number, enhances longitudinal traction and its stability on snowy and wet surfaces. On ice, the efficiency of the tread is supported by several thousand 3D lamellas. When contacting the road surface, these elements are fixed in the open position, limiting the mobility of the blocks at the same time. Thus, the coupling properties are improved and become more reliable. Another feature of the applied tread pattern is the design of the shoulder blocks. On their sides, there are long curved grooves. They increase stability during sharp maneuvers on snow, facilitate exiting the rut.
