Rauffan Snowmaster W2 — a studded-less winter tyre for passenger cars. The model belongs to the C1 class, and its cards in the European EPREL register confirm its suitability for operation in harsh snowy conditions and 3PMSF marking. The tyre manufacturer specified in the valid EAEU certificate is the Chinese plant Sichuan Tyre & Rubber Co., Ltd.
The asymmetric tread pattern consists of visually distinct zones. One side is formed by large transverse blocks, the other includes inclined elements and a multitude of intersecting grooves. The large outer blocks increase the stiffness of the shoulder area and support the accuracy of steering reactions.
Three longitudinal grooves of a broken line shape pass through the working surface. The manufacturer associates this geometry with water drainage on a wet road and manageability on winter surfaces. The intersecting grooves of the inner zone form additional edges and cavities for snow retention.
The blocks are covered with numerous thin wavy lamellas, which further divide their surface into traction edges. The lamellas are distributed across the entire width of the tread, including the large shoulder elements. The Snowmaster W2 is released in a studded-less version.
The certified size range covers fitment diameters from 12 to 20 inches, speed categories Q, T, H, and V. An reinforced version XL is provided for many sizes.
