The summer tyre Rauffan Avantar R7 is designed for passenger cars. The model features an asymmetric tread pattern, which combines wide longitudinal ribs with a developed system of grooves. This arrangement combines extended support zones and channels designed for water drainage.
Four wide longitudinal grooves run along the entire circumference of the tread and form the main paths for water removal. The inclined transverse grooves in the central and inner parts connect with the longitudinal system, forming additional paths from the central zone to the main grooves.
Several wide ribs create continuous support areas in the middle part of the tread. Their surface is divided by offset grooves and diagonal notches, which interrupt the smooth longitudinal lines and form additional contact edges. The varied shape of the elements emphasizes the functional division of the asymmetric pattern.
The outer shoulder area is made more closed and consists of large support elements with transverse notches. The inner side has a more open configuration of grooves connected to the longitudinal grooves. Due to this, the two sides of the tread differ in both the density of elements and the direction of transverse water drainage paths.
