The "five-rib" architecture
The tread pattern is based on a classic longitudinal scheme, but with important design nuances. Five powerful ribs, separated by deep channels, are the foundation of directional stability. The three central elements are solid, without interruptions, giving the carcass maximum stiffness in the longitudinal direction. This geometry minimizes deformations of the tread at high speeds. The driver gets a clear steering feel and linear feedback when changing direction. Additionally, the monolithic central zone acts as a natural damper, evening out the contact patch and preventing uneven wear.
Aquaplaning control
Note the diagonal cuts made in the central part. These are not just lamellas, but multifunctional hydrodynamic pumps. When in contact with a water film, they work on the principle of "capture-ejection". This provides a noticeable increase in grip when braking on wet surfaces.
Tread life without loss of handling
The tyre's lifespan is determined not only by the tread, but also by its internal structure. Here, a reinforced breaker belt is used, working in conjunction with an optimized transverse profile of the tread. The radius of curvature of the shoulder zones has been reduced, making the contact patch more flat and rectangular. This reduces the pressure per square centimetre of rubber during straight-line driving, slowing down abrasive wear.
