The Pirelli Diablo Rain SCR1 summer motorcycle tire, like all the other five representatives of this line, is designed for use exclusively on racing tracks in rainy weather. This model owes its exceptionally high characteristics, first and foremost, to the technologies and design solutions used in road racing, in particular, the World Superbike series, where it is the official motorcycle tire.
Multi-radius profile
One of the distinctive features of this tire is the stability of the shape and size of the contact patch, regardless of the driving conditions. This is largely due to the special tread profile, which has several radii of curvature, which differ significantly in the central part and shoulder areas of the tread. This not-so-cheap solution made it possible to achieve stable behavior of the motorcycle at any lean angles, which allows you to pass turns much faster.
Rubber compound with increased silicon content
As you know, two-thirds of the traction properties of any tire Pirelli Diablo Rain SCR1 depends on the characteristics of the rubber compound. Over the past few years, the specialists of the Italian company have made significant progress in this matter. Steel metal cord
Another very expensive, but at the same time very effective solution, was the carcass. It not only contains steel cords, but also has a special winding technology, in which they are located parallel to the direction of movement. Thanks to this, the tire fits maximally tightly and evenly to the surface of the road, regardless of its characteristics, driving mode and lean angle of the motorcycle. As a result, it is much easier to handle, both when changing direction and when accelerating and braking.
Highly efficient drainage system
Since the name of this model contains the word Rain, it's no surprise that its tread pattern has a very developed drainage system. Mainly its elements (grooves) are located in the shoulder areas. In the central part, longitudinal grooves are only available on the front tire, which is quite justified, given the specific features of its operation.
