Description Otani OH-120
The Otani OH-120 commercial tire is designed for use on the steering axle of large-capacity trucks. Positioned by the manufacturer as a universal model, it is effective for operation on both high-speed highways and regional and suburban roads. It is distinguished by its increased strength and resistance to damage, reduced rolling resistance, combined with ease of handling and stability of traction properties on both dry and wet surfaces.
The tread pattern is executed in a classic design for tires in this category, with five solid longitudinal ribs. This scheme for distributing elements minimizes fuel consumption, prevents rapid tire wear, and provides comfort in handling and reliability of traction properties at high speeds on dry surfaces. Efficiency in rainy conditions is ensured by the increased longitudinal grooves that run between the ribs, which can divert virtually any amount of water from under the tire, preventing the formation of a continuous water film between it and the surface. Transverse lamellas are cut across the entire tread, with beveled edges that not only prevent aquaplaning but also provide the possibility of intense deceleration in such conditions. All the slots have a Z-shaped form, which limits the mobility of the tread elements, allowing for strict control over traction during braking on the one hand and increasing the tread's resistance to abrasive wear on the other.
Key features of the Otani OH-120:
- a classic 5-rib tread pattern provides balanced driving qualities, reducing fuel consumption and wear;
- the Z-shaped form of the lamellas allows for better control over the braking process, preventing rapid tread wear;
- an optimized rubber compound with increased resistance to wear, cracking, and tears under significant load;
- a reinforced carcass structure reduces the risk of tire damage from strong impacts, providing it with significant carrying capacity
