Description Novion SS-056
Novion SS-056 — rear tire of diagonal type, designed for cross-country motorcycles. The model is focused on maximum traction realization during acceleration, course stability on loose soils, and efficient braking on solid surfaces.
Blocks for digging effect
The tread pattern is built on large, widely spaced lugs with variable pitch. Such geometry provides:
- deep entry into loose soil, which does not "stick" between blocks, but is thrown back;
- prevention of slipping — during intense driving, the tire does not spin in place, but immediately starts "digging", which is critical for starts and steep ascents;
- self-cleaning — wide inter-block gaps eliminate the adherence of wet clay, maintaining traction.
The central zone of the tread is responsible for stability on a straight line: the blocks here are shifted closer together, reducing radial runout when gaining speed. Powerful shoulder elements (lateral lugs) reliably fix the motorcycle in turns, even at an angle of 30-40°, without allowing the rear wheel to slip.
Carcass technology
The model uses a single-layer polyester cord with diagonal crossing. This provides:
- high tear resistance — threads resist stretching during sudden acceleration and braking;
- resistance to deformation — under regular loads, the cord does not delaminate.
- lightness — reduces the unsprung masses of the rear wheel, improving the suspension response.
The reinforced area under the tread increases resistance to wear and punctures during prolonged aggressive driving on rocky trails.
Key features of Novion SS-056:
- strictly off-road application — designed for motocross, enduro, and closed circuits;
- tread with widely spaced blocks provides effective traction on loose soils and self-cleaning from dirt;
- shoulder lugs fix the motorcycle in deep turns, preventing the rear wheel from slipping;
- high profile improves load distribution and protects the rim from damage during jumps and when hitting obstacles;
- optimized central zone of the tread prevents "wandering" on straight sections.
