The commercial tire Nokian NTR52 is designed for the steering axle. It is suitable for both trucks and large buses. It is adapted for use in regional and highway transportation. The tread pattern has an optimized shape. Under load, the contact patch becomes wider and almost rectangular. This has a positive effect on the strength and stability of traction, as well as reducing the rate of tread wear due to its uniform distribution over the entire area. Durability is also ensured by the increased tread depth of up to 12 mm. Wear can be monitored in real-time using a special indicator located in the central rib.

The drainage grooves between the ribs have a wavy shape. This prevents stones from getting stuck in the tread and further improves directional stability. Special protrusions are located on the bottom of the grooves. They expel foreign objects that have become stuck in the tread, thereby increasing the reliability and durability of the tire in the most challenging conditions.

The tire meets the latest European requirements for load capacity. High carrying capacity is ensured by a reinforced carcass and belt, each of which is a full-metal cord.
