The winter tire Nokian Hakkapeliitta CS is designed for commercial vehicles with small load capacity - light trucks and minivans. Developed with the climatic conditions of Central and Western Europe in mind, it stands out for its improved traction properties on wet asphalt, snow, and slush.
Increased reliability and load capacity
The tire features a reinforced design adapted to continuous exposure to high mechanical loads. To a great extent, reliability in such operating conditions is ensured by the strength of the breaker, made entirely of steel cord. Additionally, the high stiffness of this element, located directly under the tread, reduces rolling resistance and improves handling, giving the tire reliable and predictable behavior in complex situations.
Improved grip on snow and ice
Another feature of the tire is the increased content of lamellas in its tread. These elements are spaced only a few millimeters apart. Such density in no way worsens handling, thanks to the original saw-tooth shape of the lamella walls, which limits the lateral movement of the blocks in which they are cut. In turn, the gripping edges formed by them provide the tire with high efficiency during longitudinal accelerations on snow and ice.
