Nokian Hakka Black 2 – a passenger tire designed for summer driving and presented as a novelty of 2018. The model belongs to the Ultra High Performance class, which is characterized by stable performance in various weather conditions. It provides precise handling at high speeds and effective braking during any maneuvers.
Dynamic Grip
The new generation of the model features the Dynamic Grip system, which is responsible for active traction. It includes a new rubber compound, a new tread pattern, and a specially designed multi-layer structure. The combined work of all components allows for reliable traction, both on dry and wet surfaces, providing clear vehicle control.
Tread specifications
The novelty features an asymmetric tread, which has a positive effect on handling accuracy, both during straight-line driving and maneuvering.
In the central part, there are wide and rigid ribs that are responsible for stable straight-line driving. They are complemented by Hydro Canyon Grooves, which minimize aquaplaning by diverting water masses into ring-shaped grooves with a smooth surface. This system ensures confident driving on wet roads while maintaining vehicle control.
The developers also considered the possibility of safe driving at high speeds on rough roads. For this purpose, non-through grooves are located in the outer shoulder area, making handling more precise, and rigid blocks are located in the inner area, which facilitate effective driving on uneven roads.
Ride comfort
To provide comfort during driving (including at high speeds), the Silent Groove system was applied to the longitudinal ribs. It consists of semi-spherical cavities that perform several functions:
- reducing noise inside and outside the vehicle;
- cooling the tire surface, which has a positive effect on the service life;
- reducing air resistance, improving rolling and reducing fuel consumption.
Orientation to fast driving
To maintain operational properties at high speeds, the developers of the new model applied a special multi-layer structure that withstands any loads, as well as a special compound composition. The latter has high-strength polymer connections that increase traction properties on various surfaces, improving tire handling.
The model is also characterized by minimizing the rolling resistance level, which reduces fuel consumption, making the tire more environmentally friendly.
