The Nankang AS1 summer tire is used on passenger cars. This tire is specifically designed for those who love urban driving. It performs well on the road in any weather conditions, whether it's rain or a sunny day.

The tread has an asymmetric pattern that is ideal for urban vehicles. Due to the large number of grooves located on the outer edges, it perfectly holds the road at high speeds. They also contribute to reduced fuel consumption (rolling resistance is reduced by 18%). The tire has an effective water evacuation from the contact patch due to the application of water-evacuating grooves located on the inside of the tire and a reduced noise level. This results in a combination of excellent technical characteristics with driving comfort.

To enhance the resistance to aquaplaning, the Nankang AS-1 tire tread has two wide straight grooves. Increased safety when driving on wet road surfaces is achieved through the application of a method of diverting water into the central groove and then draining it through special curved drainage grooves. The uniform application of thin smooth lamellas made it possible to reduce the noise level and make the ride more comfortable. The unique straight grooves of the tread located on the outer edges helped to increase peripheral wear resistance. The application of the "two-in-one" technology made it possible to minimize the noise level.

The tread has a non-symmetric pattern, but at the same time, the total area of the tread contact patch located on the right side is equal to the area of the tread on the left side.
