Description Mitas C-21
The Mitas C-21 motorcycle tire has a fairly narrow range of applications. This model was specifically designed for use in motocross. However, this does not mean that it cannot be operated outside of racing tracks. This tire is perfect for training for upcoming competitions, as well as simply enjoying off-road driving. Another of its features is the adaptation of the design to surfaces with an average degree of hardness.
Aggressive tread pattern design
Since this tire was initially intended for racing tracks, its design contains a number of solutions that allow it to withstand operation even in very harsh conditions. First and foremost, this is the tread pattern, which has a very aggressive design.
The tread pattern consists of several functional zones, thanks to which the tire has been able to impart several seemingly incompatible qualities at once. Its central part consists of many transverse ribs, each of which is formed from two blocks of a four-sided shape. At the same time, one of the faces has a concave shape. Thanks to this structure, the central part of the C-21 demonstrates excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction, especially on loose and earthy soils, for which it was created.
In turn, the shoulder zones have a slightly different design than the central part. In this part of the tread, there are also many individual blocks, but they are arranged differently - in a checkerboard pattern. In addition, they have a complex polygonal shape with many faces and angles. In combination with the high block height, this allows the tire to demonstrate excellent traction even at significant motorcycle lean angles.
Main features of Mitas C-21
- the tire was specifically created for participation in motocross competitions;
- the tire design is adapted for operation on surfaces with medium and high stiffness;
- the optimized symmetric tread pattern demonstrates the greatest efficiency on dry sandy and earthy surfaces;
- many transverse ribs, composed of several four-sided blocks, provide excellent traction and coupling properties in the longitudinal direction;
- a large number of blocks in the shoulder zone, arranged in a checkerboard pattern, thanks to which the tire demonstrates excellent stability even at significant motorcycle lean angles.
