Description Mitas C-19
Like all other models in this line, the Mitas C-19 motorcycle tire was designed to participate in professional motocross competitions. Another key feature of this model is its purpose. It is designed for installation on the front wheels of motocross motorcycles, which are operated on sandy and earthy surfaces with a medium or high degree of hardness. The next feature of this tire is that it demonstrates the greatest efficiency when used in conjunction with the rear tire Mitas C-20.
Excellent stability on straight sections of the road and in turns
One of the characteristic features of the Mitas C-19 model is its excellent directional stability, regardless of the driving mode. This is mainly due to the tread pattern, which consists of a central part and two shoulder zones.
The central part contains a large number of rectangular blocks, collected in groups of two separate elements each. This allows the contact patch to have a large number of both transverse and longitudinal edges at any given time. In combination with the high block height, this enables the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability when driving in a straight line.
As for the traction properties when cornering, they are also at a very high level, thanks to the original design of the shoulder zones of the tread pattern. It consists of a number of trapezoidal blocks that form two longitudinal ribs. The rib adjacent to the central part has a block angle of 15 degrees relative to the road surface, and the one adjacent to the rim has an angle of 40 degrees. The "checkered" arrangement makes it possible to achieve maximum traction properties at almost any angle of motorcycle lean.
Main features of the Mitas C-19 tire
- the tire is designed for installation on the front wheels of motocross motorcycles with a mounting diameter of 14 to 21 inches;
- the reinforced design allows the tire to be used both in racing and in everyday life;
- the optimized symmetrical tread pattern for sandy, earthy, and gravel surfaces provides excellent traction properties, both in the longitudinal direction and at significant angles of motorcycle lean;
- two longitudinal rows of blocks in the shoulder zones of the tread with an angle of 15 and 40 degrees provide excellent directional stability when cornering.
