The Mitas C-16 motorcycle tire, like other C-series representatives, is designed for motocross motorcycles, where it is installed on the rear wheel. Another feature of this model is its positioning in terms of road surface characteristics. It is better suited for rocky terrain, for which corresponding changes were made to its design. Also, it's worth noting that it meets DOT and ECE-R75 requirements, which allows for its use on public roads.

Open tread pattern design

Since this tire was initially developed for use primarily on rough terrain, its tread pattern features a huge number of gripping edges. They are formed by numerous blocks, which in the central part form multiple groups. Each group consists of two or three separate elements, which in turn form long transverse edges. It is precisely these edges that allow the Mitas C-16 tire to demonstrate excellent traction properties, providing reliable grip on rocky surfaces.

Excellent passability

Another advantage of the open tread pattern design of this model is its excellent passability, primarily on rocky types of terrain. This is ensured by a number of design features. First and foremost, it is the massive size and high block height, which provides the tire with reliable grip. Additionally, the increased distance between block groups should be noted. This distance is sufficient to avoid the so-called "clogging" of the tread pattern, which can cause a significant loss of ability to overcome difficult sections. In this case, this will not happen, as the distance is sufficient to clear even large rocks.
