Description Mitas C-10
The main target audience of the Mitas C-10 motorcycle tire is motorcycle enthusiasts who enjoy amateur motocross. This model has two modifications - in addition to the standard version, Winter Friction is offered, designed for operation in winter. With a fully identical tread pattern, it differs in a more elastic rubber compound at low temperatures.
Excellent traction and adhesion properties
Since this model was initially designed as a motocross tire, its tread pattern is equipped with a large number of traction edges formed by numerous blocks. They are "assembled" into transverse rows, each consisting of two or three separate quadrangular elements. Being at a minimum distance from each other, the Mitas C-10 forms very long traction edges, located perpendicular to the direction of movement. This scheme of tread element arrangement provides maximum adhesion, primarily in the longitudinal direction.
Excellent passability on sandy soils
In addition to long transverse edges, the tread pattern of this tire can boast excellent self-cleaning properties. They are provided by a significant distance between groups of blocks. It is so large that the tread quickly gets rid of even very large particles of soil, providing reliable adhesion to it.
Moreover, it is impossible not to notice the presence of many very high blocks in the shoulder areas of the tread. When moving on sandy surfaces, they become soil hooks, providing additional adhesion on unstable loose soil sections.
Main features of the Mitas C-10 tire
- the tire was created specifically for amateur motocross;
- special modification for winter operation;
- excellent traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction, thanks to very long transverse traction edges formed by several quadrangular blocks;
- excellent passability on sandy and earthy soils is ensured by a large distance between blocks, as well as a multitude of soil hooks in the shoulder areas of the tread;
- high resistance to punctures and cuts, thanks to the large height of the tread pattern and special components in the rubber compound.
