The Mirage MR-MT172 summer tire is a Mud Terrain category model, designed for use primarily on unpaved surfaces with reduced load-carrying capacity. In such conditions, it demonstrates reliability of traction and adhesion properties, strength, resistance to mechanical damage, and improved ride smoothness.
The tire's tread is made from a rubber compound with a high content of silicon dioxide. The so-called "silica" gives the compound elasticity, allowing the tire to withstand deforming effects without damage, and also provides good ride smoothness on uneven surfaces. The tread pattern consists of blocks. In the central part, there are massive double elements that form, due to partial overlap, two wide longitudinal ribs. This significantly reduces noise and vibration, rolling resistance, and increases directional stability and handling accuracy, providing a sufficiently high level of performance on the highway without compromising the tire's off-road capabilities. The shoulder areas contain narrowed, outward-facing blocks, some of which have a concave profile. Such elements increase traction and stability on unpaved surfaces, with the possibility of enhancing these properties when operating the tire at reduced internal pressure.
